Developing Strategic Management Plans and Exit Strategy with sustainability plan for Puthukudiyiruppu Women Entrepreneurs’ Cooperative Society (PWECS), Mullaitivu, Sri Lank. The Objective of the Assignment is to strengthen PWCES’ capacity in order to make it a financially viable business entity particularly (1) To develop and implement a management plan with training component that will enhance PWECS’ capacity to formulate and implement effective strategies that will enable the cooperative to generate income and growth long-term sustainability (2) To assist the PWCES with developing business plans for the enterprise run by the cooperative society to strengthen PKT Cooperative’s business skills and capabilities to become a sustainability business entity (3). To develop an exit strategy with a sustainability Plan in line with measurable sustainable indicators. The objective of the Assignment is to enhance the capacity of PWCES’ board of directors, its-sub-coops and staff to effectively manage the cooperative society’s operation, particularly
(1). To enhance and strengthen the administrative functions of PWCES through capacity building,
(2). To improve staff and board’s knowledge on cooperative development and management
(3). To foster a culture of teamwork among its staff and members to efficiently manage the cooperative’s operations, including enabling the PWCES to engage more effectively with local community, government and non-governmental stakeholders.
The project was funded by the UN Peace Building Fund and implemented by ILO Sri Lanka in collaboration with WFP.
INTEGRATE Project aimed to contribute to the successful reintegration of Indian and Australian returnees into their communities in Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Vavuniya and Mannar Districts in the Northern Province, Sri Lanka. Implemented by CARE International.
Thirty years of conflict in Northern Sri Lanka saw hundreds of thousands of Sri Lankan Tamils internally displaced. In contrast, many others sought to migrate, legally and illegally, to other countries due to fear, political persecution or economic reasons.
Men and women, including returnees have improved access to institutional support mechanisms including means to access civic documents and quality counselling services. INTEGRATE Project and partner organisations systematically identified and screened the existing SMEs and individuals with strong entrepreneurial skills. A total number of 56 SMEs significantly increased individual income (between 20 to 40% against the baseline) and new employments ranging from two to eight

EVALUATION: The Project for Rehabilitation of Community Infrastructure and Facilities in the Conflict Affected Areas in Northern Province (RCIF), is aimed to contribute to the sustainable rehabilitation and reconstruction of conflict affected people in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka and to overcome the on-going hardships of the returned and resettled Internally Displaced People (IDPs) due to lack of basic services. The main objective of the evaluation was to assess the overall performance of expected results stipulated in the logical framework and the proposal, as well as mainstreamed topics such as gender, age, disability, and environmental awareness in terms of relevance, efficiency, effectivene. Development of a Strategic Plan and a Road Map (2014-2018) for the Department of Technical Education and Training, under the purview of Ministry of Skills Development, Government of Sri Lanka
EVALUATION:A study on the current status and new requirements of trained youths under the CADRIN Programme, as well as the prospects of leadership, employability, and entrepreneurship. The CADRIN Project supported the creation of a youth task force in the districts of Vavuniya, Mannar, Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu and this paved the way for them to find better employment opportunities with the collaboration of the University of Jaffna. Three Community Catalyst courses have been conducted in Mullaitivu and 104 youth have graduated from and they were engaged in communities at different level some of them are attached with government and non-governmental organization and private institutions too. The key objectives of the community catalyst course were (1) To enhance youth participation in community development activities to establish good governance practices at community level and (2) To improve leadership knowledge and become a good leaders in community level.
